The American Highway Project

I found this site particularly interesting. This American photographer Edgar C. Praus has a project called The American Highway Project. He dedicates his work towards documenting the quaint roadside attractions of small towns. The motive that drives him is that he finds them fascinating cultural assets which are quickly being subsumed by more commercial malls and regular stores. The old facade of America remains in many places while in bigger cities architecture turns towards a more modern fashion.
I liked his work in particular because it choses to focus on what might be considered a neglected aspect of our history and shed light on America's less-known towns and sights.
