writing ideas for this week
This is the brainstorm of ideas we came up with for writing assignments in Amherst this week:
*shadow someone - "so and so's important day"
*person on the street - ask a lot of people the same question
*under-cover cellphone
*interviews
*composite (like Melville's whale extracts or Corwin Ericson's "Check'd Out Ok"
*mess with people's comfort levels - someone else's or your own
*eavesdrop
*"The Weather Made Interesting"
*capture the essence of a place
*photo essay - polaroids with captions, for instance
*study architecture
*play a game and invite strangers to join - i.e. to Create Non-fiction
